HGV Class 1 Night Driver – Minworth, West Midlands
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Night Driver to join our well-established client based in Minworth, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.
This role is ideal for an experienced HGV Class 1 Night Driver looking for consistent night-shift work.
Shifts
• Monday to Friday (some Sundays available)• PM start times between 20:00 and 22:00
Rates of Pay
• £17.50 per hour – Monday to Friday• £21.00 per hour – Sundays

Day-to-Day Duties
As an HGV Class 1 Night Driver, your duties will include (but are not limited to):
• Completing Class 1 trunking deliveries• Operating Category C+E vehicles safely and efficiently• Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections• Ensuring all goods are loaded and secured correctly• Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations• Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements• Assisting with loading and unloading when required
Essential Skills
To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Night Driver, you will need:
• Valid UK Category C+E Driving Licence• Minimum of 12 months’ experience driving C+E vehicles• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no major endorsement codes)• Valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card• Good spoken and written English• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping• Strong understanding of UK road traffic laws• Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience
• Previous experience driving commercial vehicles
Training Provided
• Ongoing industry-related training and support
