VSA is seeking an experienced Interim Care Home Manager (Fixed Term 6 months) to provide exceptional leadership and operational oversight within one of our care homes. As Interim Home Manager, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality care that meets VSA's standards and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain robust systems for communication, reporting, and record-keeping to support decision-making and compliance.
* Foster a culture of respect, inclusion, and empowerment for residents and staff.
* Promote independence and social engagement among service users.
* Ensure safe practices through effective risk management and medication procedures.
* Lead the development and review of personalised care plans.
* Manage staffing levels, recruitment, and team development to ensure continuity of care.
* Monitor performance, provide supervision, and address challenges constructively.
* Oversee financial resources and contribute to budgetary planning.
* Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and uphold best practice.
* Support staff and residents through significant life changes with sensitivity.
* Commit to continuous learning and professional development.
Experience & Qualifications:
Essential:
* NMC Registered Nurse with a valid PIN.
* Proven experience managing in a care home or supported housing setting.
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of care legislation, National Care Standards, and Care Inspectorate procedures.
* Ability to write reports, manage teams, and use IT systems effectively.
Desirable:
* Experience managing budgets and contributing to policy development.
* Skilled in handling performance and disciplinary matters.
* Well-developed decision-making and organisational skills.
