The team...
Our School Crossing Patrol service is part of our wider Sustainable Transport & Road Safety team and help keep children and their families safe on their way to and from school. School Crossing Patrols are an important part of encouraging active travel. Patrols work both mornings and afternoons and work in all weather conditions.
About the role...
A vacancy exists for a permanent part-time School Crossing Patrol to work at Outside Windy Nook Primary School/ Albion Road, Gateshead.
The hours of work are Monday to Friday
08:25 - 09:05 AM
15:00 - 15:35 PM
Term Time only 1 hour 15 minutes per day and 6 hours 15 minutes per week.
The successful applicant will receive full training, uniform and will be paid on a pro-rata salary ensuring payment throughout school holidays.
No formal qualifications are needed just the ability to have a natural rapport with children, adults, drivers and teachers alongside an awareness of road safety. We will train successful applicants in the professional skills to confidently manage the traffic.
Salary amounts quoted are from 1 Sep - 31 Aug and therefore if you commence employment part way through the academic year, they are subject to an equated salary adjustment.
If successful, you will be required to apply for a Disclosure & Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.
