We are currently looking for a proactive, people-focused Assistant Recruitment Consultant to join our friendly team in the office full-time. Whether you have some experience in recruitment or someone from the fashion/lifestyle/ textiles industry looking for a career change, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Liaising with clients to take job briefs and gain a thorough understanding of what they’re looking for
2. Writing engaging job descriptions and advertising roles online
3. Sourcing candidates via job boards and our internal database
4. Conducting interviews to assess candidate suitability
5. Matching candidates to relevant roles and thinking ahead for future opportunities
6. Sending candidate details to clients in a clear and professional manner
7. Following up with clients for feedback and chasing updates where needed
8. Arranging and coordinating interviews between clients and candidates
9. Preparing candidates for interviews and supporting them throughout the process
10. Managing offers and post-placement follow-up with candidates and clients
11. Thinking creatively and strategically when sourcing candidates
12. Following up on leads and proactively identifying potential new vacancies with clients
13. Building and maintaining long-term relationships with both clients and candidates
Skills & Experience:
14. Previous recruitment experience is desirable but not essential
15. If not from a recruitment background, previous experience in fashion, textiles, homewares or a related head office environment is essential
16. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence speaking to people at all levels
17. Strong sales and negotiation skills
18. Proactive and driven – not afraid to follow up or chase where needed
19. Ability to think creatively and strategically when matching candidates to roles
20. Good memory and organisational skills – able to track strong candidates for future roles
21. Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel
22. Confident using Microsoft Word
23. Experience with CRM systems is a bonus
24. Passion for the fashion, lifestyle or homewares industries
