Our values are:* Entrepreneurship* Courage* Respect* Friendliness**Job Description Summary**Based at our Equipment Preparation Centre in Doncaster, you will carry out hands-on Assistant Workshop Management duties, including health & safety compliance, job planning, quality control and efficient engineer utilisation. All activities are to be carried out in accordance with current best practice guidelines and in compliance with the company Health and Safety and Quality policies.**Job Description****CORE ACTIVITIES:*** To work safely and in accordance with the company Health and Safety policy standards.* To always portray a good image of both yourself and the company, always wearing the company uniform where issued.* To have overall responsibility for the hour by hour operation of the workshop team.* To ensure the health and safety of everyone in the workshop, in collaboration with your team and the Equipment Preparation Manger.* To ensure all members of your team complete all required company Health and Safety documentation correctly. This is to be done jointly with the Workshop Administrator.* To ensure all members of your team carry out regular housekeeping activities to maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.* To carry out pre- inspections, repairs, pre-delivery inspections, services, rebuilds and final quality inspections of equipment going through the Equipment Preparation Centre.* To ensure that goods entering the operation have a valid GRN and all machines leaving have a valid delivery note, of which copies are held on file.* To manage and guide the labourer to ensure all trucks and goods are stored on site safely and in a way to optimize space utilisation.* Manage and guide the labourer to ensure trucks and any ancillary equipment are made available for the workshop team or third-party contractors in advance of them being required.* To carry out the necessary building inspections on a weekly and monthly basis in the collaboration with your relevant labourer.* To ensure workshop productivity achieves company budget requirements as a minimum. This is to be done in collaboration with the Equipment Preparation Manager.* To liaise with Parts Department to ensure that parts are obtained within acceptable timescales and that the parts authorization procedure is adhered to.
