A great opportunity to join a leading residential property management company in Edinburgh as a Facilities Manager! This varied role will involve managing the company’s hard and soft facilities contracts across a portfolio of residential developments, ensuring best practice, statutory compliance and a strong, reliable contractor base. Working as part of a friendly and professional team, you’ll enjoy a hands-on position with a mix of office and field-based work. Key responsibilities include: Managing existing contractors across principal areas such as lifts, associated M&E, emergency lighting, EICR testing, water tanks and pumps, fall-safe systems and electricity supply Overseeing reactive maintenance and minor works contracts Managing grounds maintenance and cleaning contracts – delivering service level agreements, ensuring contractors are fit for purpose and maintaining up-to-date insurance and compliance documentation Ensuring statutory, regulatory and building compliance across developments (including fire risk, asbestos, play parks and other key risk areas) Carrying out routine meetings with contractors, re-negotiating contracts at renewal and addressing quality issues where required Sourcing and onboarding new contractors Liaising with Property Managers to relay information and updates, empowering them to make decisions and provide an excellent service to clients All related administration and system updates About you: Candidates should ideally have a Facilities Management background from commercial, multi-site residential, student accommodation or a similar environment.
