Senior practitioner psychologist

We are looking for a Clinical Neuropsychologist to support the hyperacute/acute ward and Early Supported Discharge (ESD) Stroke team at Northwick Park Hospital. The role involves assessing and supporting stroke patients and their families.

Applicants will have the opportunity to develop cross‑specialist skills, contribute to service development and benefit from internal and external CPD, as the Trust supports psychologists to obtain professional qualifications in clinical neuropsychology (QiCN).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide highly specialist psychological services to stroke patients, including specialist assessment, treatment planning, implementation and monitoring of outcomes.
• Work to create a psychologically safe and informed environment for staff, service users and carers from diverse backgrounds.
• Initiate and collaborate in service evaluation, audit and research.
• Provide clinical supervision, consultation and training, functioning as a lead specialist in neuropsychological assessment of stroke patients.
• Operate autonomously within the guidelines and policies of the BPS, HCPC and LNWH and interpret policies within defined parameters.
• Agree outcomes and results with the clinical/professional lead and decide how they best achieved.
