Description
Are you skilled in credit hire and passionate about delivering outstanding service? We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Credit Hire File Handler to join our team.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to investigate complex credit hire claims from a tactical and strategic perspective. The File Handler will conduct complex and technical investigations on claims submitted from specific opponents, with claim values up to £25,000.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of an incredible team and gain experience in investigating credit hire claims, aiming to significantly reduce overall spend for our insurer clients.

Key Accountabilities
* Educational requirements: at least 3 GCSEs or equivalent; a degree is preferable.
* Ability to use own initiative.
* Ability to plan and prioritize workloads.
* Excellent listening and verbal communication skills.
* Good telephone negotiation skills.
* Ability to follow work processes and adhere to strategy.
* Sensitivity and tact when required.
* Decision-making skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Good IT skills, including Word, Outlook, and experience with a Case Management System preferred.
* Experience in credit hire is essential, with at least 12 months exposure to credit hire cases.
Technical knowledge to be developed includes understanding of pre-proceedings credit hire, the lifecycle of a file, litigation principles, costs and protective offers, and case preparation for litigation.

Working Hours
35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm, with 1 unpaid hour for lunch. Hybrid role: 1 day in the office, 4 days remote.
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
* Experience handling credit hire files and managing a caseload.
* At least 5 GCSEs or equivalent; a degree or LPC is preferable.
* Ability to use own initiative and plan workloads.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to follow processes and maintain tact and sensitivity.
* Decision-making skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.
* Good IT skills, including Word, Outlook, and experience with case management systems preferred.
