Job Purpose
We are seeking a motivated Depot Operator / Labourer to join our team. In this role, you will carry out a range of operational tasks within our plant facility, including operating plant equipment, and loading, offloading, and transferring materials across the site. You'll ensure all activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with site procedures and regulatory requirements, whilst promoting the Slicker workplace values. Main Tasks & Responsibilities
Yard Operations
* Operate and monitor process plant and equipment in accordance with training and procedures
* Complete full process of fuel blending
* Record data concerning yard operations in a legible and retrievable manner
* Transfer liquid product across the facility as required
* Taking representative samples of in-process material and product from storage tanks and vehicles for submission to laboratory
* Start-up and shut down of the plant and process operations
Vehicle Movements
* Taking samples from vehicles and submission of samples to the laboratory
* Checking pipe work and valves to ensure material is delivered into the correct tank
* Loading and unloading of product to and from vehicles
* Completion of regulatory paperwork relating to waste and product transfers
General
* Ensure work area is kept clean and tidy and free of chemical spills
* Work safely in accordance with the companies Health and Safety Policy and written procedures safe systems of work
* Be aware of the environmental impact of activities and report any related issues promptly
* To fulfil their responsibilities within the Site Emergency Procedures
* To contribute towards achieving compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements
* Awareness of external and internal environmental requirements including Environment Agency site permitting and industry specific guidance
* Month end stock takes

Skills & Key Requirements
* Ability to work in an operative capacity as part of a multi-discipline process team
* Attention to detail, with a good standard of literacy and numeracy
* Ability to multi-task
* Must be comfortable with working at height
* Forklift Licence (preferred)
* Car licence essential
Hours of work
7.00am - 5.30pm, Monday to Friday (50 hours)
