Your newpany
You will be joining one of the most recognisable organisations in the highlands, which, due to an increase in workload, is looking to add a handyperson to their housing & non-housing department.
Your new role
You will be expected to undertake small works in various trades, which may include:
1. Carry routine & emergency repairs on all trades (excluding electrical) to housing & non-housing properties.
2. Undertake joinery repairs, including the replacement of broken window panes, replacing door locks, fitting draught excluders and replacing windows & doors.
3. Minor painting work/touch-ups on occupied and void properties.
4. Undertake minor plumbing repairs, including replacement washers, clearing blocked drains & gutters and fixtures & fitting upgrades or replacements.
5. Always be well-mannered and health & safety conscious at all times.
What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally be experienced in a similar role or have multi-trade experience within the construction industry. As this role is mobile across various projects, you will be required to have a valid UK driving licence with minimal points. A vehicle may be provided home for the right individual.
What you'll get in return
You will be offered ongoing, long-term work in a large Highland organisation, with the potential for a full-time position in the future. Hays will pay you weekly, and you will receive the option for accrued annual leave and regular updates from your Hays consultant.
