Essential Functions:
The technician will be a customer-focused technical expert, applying advanced troubleshooting, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic control skills to install, maintain, and repair packaging machinery.
Job Duties include but are not limited to:
* Travel approximately 80% during training (Mon-Fri), primarily within the Central USA, with potential for travel beyond. Post-training travel will decrease to 60-70%.
* Read diagrams, schematics, specifications, and manuals to determine work procedures.
* Engage with customers on-site, analyze equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and restore systems to specifications.
* Share information with team members and customers, prioritize tasks, and keep clients informed of progress.
* Educate customers on routine preventive maintenance techniques.
* Participate in installing and improving safety and performance of equipment through new projects.
Requirements:
* At least four years of maintenance experience with electro-mechanical machinery, including troubleshooting and repairs.
* Experience with food processing and packaging machinery is preferred.
* Practical knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles and techniques.
* Advanced understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, conveyor, and control systems.
* Strong initiative, critical thinking, problem-solving, judgment, decision-making, persistence, attention to detail, adaptability, leadership, and concern for others.
* Willingness to travel 80% during training and 60-70% afterward.
* Food processing or packaging machinery experience is desirable.
* Bilingual English-Spanish skills are a plus.
