Autism Support Assistant
Location: Burniston
Salary: £88 – £110 per day
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: January 2026
GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Autism Support Assistant to support pupils with ASC in a school near Burniston.
Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support for pupils with autism
* Assist with structured routines and visual supports
* Encourage communication and social interaction
* Support emotional regulation and sensory needs
* Work closely with SEN staff and external professionals
Requirements
* Experience supporting pupils with autism
* Knowledge of ASC strategies and inclusive practice
* Patient and consistent approach
* Ability to build trusting relationships
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
