TimePlan Education are currently seeking a passionate and committed Behaviour Mentor for a primary school in Havering, working with children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a crucial role in supporting children with SEMH needs, helping them to manage their behaviour and develop essential social and emotional skills. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of children who require additional support to thrive in the school environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Support children with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small group basis.
* Implement behaviour management strategies tailored to individual students.
* Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to ensure the best outcomes for the children.
* Provide emotional support to children, encouraging resilience, confidence, and positive behaviour.
* Monitor and track progress, providing feedback to staff and parents.
* Participate in relevant training and development opportunities.
Key Requirements
* Experience working with children with SEMH or behavioural needs is desirable but not essential.
* A strong commitment to working with children and helping them to overcome challenges.
* A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to build positive relationships with children.
* Willingness to undertake training and professional development as provided by TimePlan Education.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
