Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 (not pro rata)

On behalf of our client, we are delighted to be recruiting for a dedicated and passionate SEND Teacher to join a specialist school in Luton.
The school provides tailored education and support to students with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and complex needs. They are committed to creating an inclusive environment where every student is valued, supported, and empowered to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet the individual needs of students with SEND and complex needs.
*
Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment where every student feels safe and respected.
*
Work closely with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to implement personalised learning plans.
*
Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students and their families.
*
Use a range of strategies and resources to engage and motivate learners with diverse abilities.
*
Support students’ social and emotional development, helping them build confidence, resilience, and independence.
Requirements:
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
*
Experience of working with students with SEND and complex needs (or a strong passion and understanding of this area).
*
Knowledge of different SEND conditions and effective support strategies.
*
Applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) with an understanding of autism and complex needs are very welcome.
*
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*
Patience, empathy, and a genuine drive to make a difference.
