Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with a well-established organisation based in Central London to recruit a Temporary Accounts Payable Clerk. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced AP/Purchase Ledger professional to join a busy finance team and provide immediate support during a period of increased workload.
The role:
Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the accounts payable function. This is a hands-on position requiring accuracy, efficiency, and the ability to work to deadlines.
Key responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk will include:
1. Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
2. Matching, batching, and coding invoices.
3. Managing supplier queries and reconciling supplier statements.
4. Preparing payment runs.
5. Supporting month-end processes, including accruals where required.
6. Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
The successful Accounts Payable Clerk will have:
7. Proven experience in an accounts payable role.
8. Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
9. The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
10. Good working knowledge of accounting systems and Excel.
