Location: Wolverhampton
Hours: Permanent, full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum (depending on experience)
We are seeking a proactive and reliable Accounts Assistant to join our clients finance team in Wolverhampton. This is a varied role that will give you exposure to all areas of accounts, with a strong focus on credit control. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Assistant will play an important part in ensuring the smooth running of the finance function.
Responsibilities
* Processing supplier invoices and raising customer invoices
* Carrying out credit control duties and managing outstanding debt
* Reconciling customer and supplier accounts
* Assisting with bank reconciliations and supporting VAT returns/month-end procedures
* Managing employee expenses and general finance administration
What Were Looking For
* Previous experience or exposure to an Accounts/Finance environment
* Understanding of basic accounting principles
* AAT qualification (advantageous but not essential)
* Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail
* Credit control experience is essential
