The Orkney Community Planning Partnership is looking for a Community Planning Manager. You will facilitate and coordinate the development, implementation, and monitoring of Community Planning in Orkney and drive forward the priorities identified and agreed by the partnership.
About the Partnership
The partnership consists of Orkney Islands Council, NHS Orkney, Police Scotland, the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service, and Highlands & Islands Enterprise, together with other organisations involved across Orkney.
Key Responsibilities
* Facilitate and coordinate the development, implementation, and monitoring of Community Planning in Orkney.
* Drive forward the priorities identified and agreed by the partnership.
* Collaborate with senior leaders across the Community Planning Partnership to develop strategic leadership skills.
* Apply research, analysis, and writing skills to produce detailed reports.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Holding a qualification at SCQF 8/9 (e.g., SVQ4, HND) OR a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
* Strong facilitation and organisational skills gained through experience in the public or third sector.
* Subject to Level 1 Disclosure Scotland clearance.
Other Information
* Hourly rate is £22.70 - £25.08, inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance.
* 35 hours per week, permanent, full‑time.
* Interview expenses and relocation costs will be paid in line with Council policies.
* Interviews will take place on Monday 10 November 2025.
