Client Manager/Qualified Accountant

About the Role:
We are recruiting a qualified accountant to join a successful, independent accountancy practice in the heart of Bristol. This role is offered on a full-time or part-time basis, initially as a 12-month maternity cover. A permanent opportunity may be considered for the right individual.
You will work closely with Managers and Partners to prepare statutory accounts for a varied and interesting client portfolio, ensuring consistently high standards of technical delivery and client service. This role would suit a confident, technically strong accountant who enjoys working with autonomy in a growing and forward-thinking firm.
You will be:
Preparing statutory accounts under FRS 102 for a diverse portfolio of clients
Working collaboratively with Managers to deliver accounts for Partner review
Managing your workload independently while maintaining high-quality output
Applying strong technical knowledge with minimal supervision
Contributing positively to a growing firm with a proactive, “can-do” approach
Your responsibilities:
Prepare statutory accounts for a wide range of clients in line with FRS 102
Ensure work is delivered accurately, efficiently and to agreed deadlines
Maintain strong client relationships through professional and approachable communication
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation within processes
Uphold the firm’s commitment to exceptional client service
Requirements:
ACA or ACCA qualified (minimum 2 years’ post-qualified experience)
Proven experience within an accountancy practice environment
Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly FRS 102
Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office; experience of Digita and/or Xero preferred
Professional, approachable manner with a proactive and adaptable mindset
