We are working with a accredited cat friendly, rabbit friendly and small animal training practice in Gloucester which has an exciting opportunity for a like-minded RVN to join their great team!
Please see the job description below.
The practice has gone from strength to strength since opening in 2015 and is now an extremely successful business, providing a first-class service to our loyal client base. Many of our team have been with us since the early days and we pride ourselves on not only providing excellent care to our clients, but also to each other!
The Owner and veterinary surgeon qualified from Lithuanian Veterinary Academy in 2009 and has been working in the UK since 2015, becoming the owner of the practice in 2021. As well as being supported by the owner, you’ll also be working alongside a certificate holder, a more recently qualified vet and an outstanding team of nurses who encouraged and drove our success in becoming a training practice. Our clinical team are also supported by an equally brilliant and welcoming team of client care advisors, a VCA and student nurse and we also benefit from a visiting orthopaedic referral service.
As a team we meet regularly every 4 to 6 weeks and with communication being key, with an open and flexible approach the rest of the time. Our days are structured well with 15-minute consults as standard which are normally worked in blocks of 3 followed by another 15-minute block afterwards, to catch up and take a break.
On weekdays, we are open until 7pm with the last routine appointment at 5.45pm, again ensuring plenty of catch-up time. The same goes for Saturdays with the practice closing at 5pm, with the last routine appointment at 4pm.
This role will include a shared weekend rota of 1 in 3 Saturdays, with the hours during the week being open to discussion. In joining our team and supporting a great community and client base, we are looking for a colleague with solid RVN experience, a team player with great communication skills and someone who shares our passion for providing the highest level of veterinary care.
Based in an ideal location in Gloucester, both the city centre and Gloucester Quays are easily accessible, with the beautiful Cotswolds and the M5 taking you further afield, within easy reach too!
What we’re offering:
* 5.6 weeks annual leave as standard (pro-rata for part-time) extending to 6.6 weeks after 2 years of working with us.
* Paid memberships including RCVS and VDS.
* Life Assurance 4 x Annual Salary.
* Contributory Pension Scheme.
* Dedicated CPD allowance including support towards Certificates.
* Relocation Allowance. (Direct applicants only)
* Cycle to Work Scheme.
* Access to Colleague Assistance Programmes – Retail Trust, Port of Call and MHFA
* Exclusive company discounts and rewards through our reward hub.
Our teams are inclusive and celebrate difference, so if you meet our role requirements, we’d love to hear from you.
