Job Description
We are actively recruiting a Site Engineer to join our client's innovative and growing team due to new contract awards. The role is a full time, permanent position, based at the clients main office in Aberdeenshire and covering our sites across Northern Scotland. Salary is open to negotiation depending on experience.
Requirements:
•\tMinimum 5 years’ experience in Civil Engineering work in various roles including setting out and site work supervision
•\tThe ability to manage, coordinate and maintain multiple task requirements
•\tAwareness and understanding of contracting principles
•\tStrong civil engineering sector knowledge and business understanding
•\tMulti utility knowledge beneficial
•\tExcellent working knowledge of Microsoft Packages
•\tExcellent communication skills
•\tAbility to work well in a team
•\tAbility to think strategically and to assist in problem solving
•\tGood organisational and time management skills
•\tCommercial awareness
•\tBe flexible and have an enthusiastic approach to working in sometimes challenging conditions
•\tPromote a strong Health & Safety culture
•\tHold a valid UK Driving Licence
•\tSSSTS/SMSTS Card
•\tCPCS Card
Duties:
•\tAssist with the preparation of tenders
•\tLiaise with clients and Statutory Bodies
•\tProvide accurate information to line managers regarding progress
•\tAssist with preparation and issue of Job Instructions and ensure Toolbox Talks are completed correctly.
•\tCarry out regular site visit.
•\tSetting out of site works
•\tPrepare “as-Built” Drawings as required by Customers for awarded contracts
•\tAssist QHSE Systems Manager in delivering Health & Safety and promoting compliance throughout the Company
•\tAssist QHSE to assess risk and produce relevant RAMS as required
•\tAssist Contracts Manger with the requisition of materials as required
•\tAny other related duties/tasks assigned
Responsibilities:
•\tAssist Quantity Surveyor to ensure that projects under your control are fully measured and valued, promptly and accurately
•\tResponsible for employee issues within team and reporting to line manager for assistance when necessary
