About the Role:
Driver Hire Carlisle is excited to offer a top-tier opportunity for experienced HGV Tramper Drivers with our esteemed client in Carlisle. This role features an attractive pay structure with £15.69 per hour (with advanced holiday pay) for the first 50 hours each week, rising to £20.17 per hour thereafter, plus additional payments for overnight stays. With consistent Monday to Friday shifts and occasional Saturdays, this position offers ongoing weekly work and excellent earning potential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operate HGV vehicles for long-distance deliveries, ensuring safe and timely transportation of goods.
2. Manage shifts typically from Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday work.
3. Perform vehicle checks and maintain high standards of vehicle condition.
4. Accurately complete delivery paperwork and provide outstanding customer service.
5. Stay overnight as required, with additional payments provided for nights out.
Requirements:
6. Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) license with a clean driving record.
7. CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
8. Proven experience as a tramper driver or in long-haul driving.
9. Excellent time-management skills.
10. Strong communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
11. Flexibility to work extended hours and stay overnight as needed.
