Job Description
The Company
Oxford Space Systems develops innovative deployable antennas for Space. Our aim is to be the global leader in this field, providing effective solutions today for the space-based services of the future. We are leveraging innovations from beyond the space sector to make our antennas smaller, lighter and cheaper than traditional designs.
This is an exciting time to join us as we scale up for the future, having already delivered multiple systems for operational satellites with in-orbit deployment success, and significant investment in our facilities with a state-of-the-art head office at Harwell and a bespoke manufacturing facility in Abingdon.
The Role
We are looking for a highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive Associate Project Controller to join our growing team. This is a varied and hands-on role that sits at the heart of our project delivery activities, providing essential day-to-day support across scheduling, financial tracking, document control, and reporting.
Working closely with the Technical Programme Manager (TPM), you will help ensure that project information is accurate, well-organised, and up to date at all times. You will maintain and update project schedules, resource plans, and cost trackers, and proactively flag any risks, actions, or issues to keep projects running smoothly and in compliance with our Quality Management System (QMS).
A key part of the role involves coordinating project documentation ensuring the right version control, release, and filing processes are followed as well as supporting financial administration, including purchase orders, bills of materials, and cost reporting. You will also assist with preparing progress reports and status updates, and help coordinate meetings by managing agendas, minutes, and action logs.
To be successful in this role you will bring proven experience in a project administration, project support, or project coordination environment, combined with an exceptional eye for detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities without letting anything slip. You will be proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable using project management tools such as Gantt charts or scheduling software.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative, can-do attitude are essential.
If you have the relevant skills, experience and want to make a significant contribution to a growing and exciting company, then we want to hear from you. In return we offer a competitive salary, exciting career opportunities, the ability to work flexibly, as well as 28 days basic holiday plus bank holidays and contributary pension scheme.
