Commercial & IP Solicitor | 2+ PQE | Farnborough
A Legal 500-ranked corporate and commercial team in the Thames Valley is looking for a commercial and IP solicitor to join a growing practice working with household-name brands, technology companies and owner-managed businesses.
You would advise on a broad range of commercial agreements and intellectual property matters, with increasing exposure to cross-border projects and clients operating in technology, software, manufacturing, retail and consumer-facing markets.
The firm is ambitious, well-regarded and actively growing. The commercial team sits at the heart of that growth strategy, which means investment, clear progression routes and the chance to work on sophisticated work in a regional market.
The Work
You will draft, negotiate and advise on commercial contracts including supply and distribution agreements, licensing arrangements, technology and software contracts, and high-value service agreements. You will also advise on intellectual property matters: IP protection, licensing, brand strategy and IP considerations within commercial transactions.
The client base is varied and includes technology and software businesses, manufacturing and logistics companies, retail and consumer brands, and owner-managed businesses with international operations. The work is pragmatic, commercially focused and often sector-specific.
The Platform
The commercial team is recognised for efficiency, highly ranked in the L500 and known for distilling complicated advice into clear, actionable recommendations. The firm's culture emphasizes growth, relationships, collaboration and long-term client service.
There is a strong focus on career development and helping people flourish. Benefits include competitive salary, generous fee-earner bonus, hybrid working, pension contributions and enhanced parental leave.
What You Need
You should have strong, well-rounded knowledge of commercial law with demonstrable experience advising on commercial contracts, and either experience in IP or a clear desire to develop expertise in IP protection, licensing or IP aspects of commercial transactions.
The firm values people who can work autonomously while collaborating effectively, who have strong client-facing skills, and who bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.
Why This Makes Sense
You will work on sophisticated commercial and IP work for high-quality clients in a well-regarded regional practice with genuine growth ambitions and clear progression routes.
The role offers variety, autonomy and the chance to build a mixed commercial and IP practice rather than being narrowly specialised.
If you want high-quality commercial and IP work in the Thames Valley with real progression and a supportive environment, this is worth a conversation.
