As a Lead Senior Support Worker, you'll be pivotal in supporting individuals with daily living, safeguarding their wellbeing, and helping them achieve their aspirations. You'll also take on senior responsibilities, including leading teams, supervising staff, and ensuring quality support services.
The role involves:
* Providing tailored, person-centred support to individuals based on their unique needs and goals.
* Supporting daily activities like budgeting, cooking, personal care (if required), and community engagement.
* Building and maintaining positive relationships with family, friends, and other professionals.
* Leading handovers, supervising staff, and assisting with scheduling and rota management.
* Modelling best practices and helping to induct and mentor team members.
* Safeguarding vulnerable adults, reporting concerns, and following safeguarding procedures.
* Maintaining accurate records, including financial documentation and support plans.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* Experience in social care or supporting individuals.
* Supervisory experience and the ability to motivate a team.
* NVQ Level 2/3 in Care (or willingness to achieve it).
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Basic IT and numerical skills.
* Passion for promoting dignity, respect, and independence.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, sleep-ins, and nights.
* A commitment to ongoing training and development.
