GSL Education are looking to appoint a Pastoral Lead to work across schools in Doncaster. This role is ideal for someone who is experienced in student support and behaviour management and is committed to fostering a nurturing and safe school environment.
As a Pastoral Lead, you will provide vital emotional and social support to students, guiding their wellbeing and personal development while fostering a positive and inclusive school environment.
As a Pastoral Lead, your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.
* Acting as a point of contact for pastoral concerns within the school.
* Liaising with parents, staff, and external agencies to support pupil welfare.
* Promoting positive behaviour and implementing restorative practices.
* Maintaining accurate pastoral records and monitoring student progress.
* Supporting the school’s safeguarding and attendance procedures.
To be a Pastoral Lead, you will require:
* Previous experience in a pastoral, mentoring, or behaviour support role.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
* Ability to remain calm, empathetic, and solution-focused.
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps clearly explained.
