Why This Role Matters: As part of Birmingham City Council’s long-term commitment to children and families, our School Improvement team, within the Children and Families Directorate, is expanding. We’re building a balanced, collaborative system where all school leaders have a voice and where your expertise will help drive real, lasting change. What You’ll Be Doing: Reporting to the Head of School Improvement, you’ll bring your expertise in primary to: Support and challenge schools, Trusts, and partners to raise standards Lead on school leadership development and self-evaluation Drive effective support and intervention strategies, including school-to-school collaboration Work closely with OFSTED, the DfE, and other key stakeholders This is a fast-paced, evolving role that requires energy, resilience, and a deep commitment to improving outcomes for children and families.
