Overview
An exciting opportunity to recruit an 8b Principal Practitioner Psychologist across the Ardenleigh site, providing leadership and specialist clinical input. Contribute to the delivery of care for both young people and women, and lead on site-wide developments and services. The Ardenleigh site hosts two services: the Secure CAMHS (SCAMHS) service and the Women's Secure Blended Service (WSBS).

Role and Responsibilities
* Provide leadership to the SCAMHS psychology team and represent psychology as part of the senior leadership team.
* Hold the team leader role for the site-wide Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Team, overseeing DBT delivery across the site and ensuring model fidelity.
* Contribute to site-wide initiatives, including Culture of Care, Trauma Informed practice, and other innovation projects.
* Provide clinical work as well as consultation, supervision, reflective practice, and staff training.
Qualifications
* Essential
o Satisfactory completion of a British Psychological Society accredited Doctoral level postgraduate professional training in clinical psychology (Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent), including models of psychopathology, psychometric and neuropsychological assessment, two or more distinct psychological therapies, and lifespan development psychology.
o Eligibility for entry onto the Register of Chartered Psychologists
o Additional training in DBT, at least the 5-day intensive

o Post-doctoral training in one or more highly specialist areas of psychological practice/therapy
Experience
* Essential
o Assessed experience as a qualified clinical/forensic psychologist for a minimum of 4 years post-qualification, with at least 2 years at the Senior (highly specialist) level.
o Experience working with a wide range of client groups across the lifespan with diverse clinical presentations and complexities.
* Desirable
o Experience applying clinical psychology in different cultural contexts.
o Experience working with hard-to-treat groups and in community settings; safeguarding and risk management across multiple agencies.
Skills
* Essential
o Strong theoretical and practical knowledge in clinical psychology, with post-qualification training and supervision
o Ability to provide psychological consultation and advice to multidisciplinary teams
o Awareness of diverse needs and service issues in a multicultural urban area
* Desirable
o Knowledge of information governance and information sharing practices across agencies

o Effective collaboration with staff from all disciplines
o Ability to work under pressure and manage high demand
* Desirable
o Willing and eligible to apply for higher level security clearance
