Location: Stourport-on-Severn Hours: Monday – Friday 08:00 – 16:30 Pay: From £12.21 per hour / Depending on experience Contract: Temp – Perm Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Edge Bander on behalf of our client based in Stourport-on-Severn. This is a Temporary to Permanent role with the opportunity of a contract at the end of a successful trial period. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining edge banding machinery to produce high-quality components. The duties of an Edge Bander: Set up and operate automatic and manual edge banding machines Read and follow technical drawings and cutting lists Select and apply appropriate edge materials, adhesives, and finishes for each job Inspect finished panels for quality, accuracy, and finish Perform routine cleaning, adjustments, and maintenance on the machines Ensure production targets and deadlines are met while maintaining high quality standards Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment The requirements of an Edge Bander: Previous experience operating edge banding machines in a woodworking or joinery environment Good understanding of materials (MDF, plywood, laminate, veneer, etc.) Ability to work accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work Knowledge of workshop health & safety procedures T...
