The Role:
We are currently looking for an Assistant Finance Manager who will be responsible for key financial activities for the business reporting to the Finance Controller. You will also be responsible for managing a team, including accounts payable and credit control.
Main Responsibilities:
* Responsible for overseeing end-to-end finance operations including account reconciliation
* Assist in implementing financial systems, procedures and internal controls to support the efficient and effective operation of the finance function
* Prepare and post monthly accruals, prepayments and similar accounting entries
* Assist an end-to-end audit process of current systems while acting as the first point of contact for external auditors
* Assist the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices
* Deal with working capital management and production of cash flow forecasts
* Monitor the cash flow of the company to ensure sufficient funds are available to meet cash flow needs
* Assist in the production of monthly Management accounts
* Responsible for all tax queries including VAT submissions
* Supervise and performance management of the Accounts Payable and Credit Control teams
* Accountable for the accounts team’s KPIs and hold monthly meetings to discuss KPIs with individuals
Skills & Experience:
* 5 years’ plus experience in a Finance role
* Advanced Excel skills essential and previous experience of SAP is highly desirable
* Commercial and business awareness
* Excellent communication skills including people leadership experience
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and diplomacy is crucial
