Overview
Sofina Foods is looking for a driven and experienced Multi‑Skilled Engineer to support the performance and reliability of our production operations. This role focuses on the safe, efficient, and proactive maintenance of factory plant and equipment, ensuring peak performance while maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards. The position follows a structured 4 on / 4 off night shift pattern (5:30 pm – 5:30 am) and offers clear progression opportunities in a fast‑moving, forward‑thinking environment.
Responsibilities
* Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance across a range of production equipment
* Ensure all machinery operates efficiently, safely, and in line with regulatory requirements
* Support root‑cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
* Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime and improve line efficiency
* Uphold best practices in health, safety and environmental compliance
* Contribute to lean maintenance practices, including TPM and CI tools
Qualifications
* Recognised NVQ Level 3 qualification in Engineering or equivalent
* Solid electrical and mechanical knowledge with the ability to work across disciplines
* Aware of or certified in Breathing Apparatus and Fire Fighting (desirable)
* Sound understanding of health, safety and environmental legislation
* Experience with lean manufacturing and TPM methodologies
