The role of Facilities Co-ordinator plays a key part in our patient experience. The successful candidate will work with our other Facilities Coordinators and will be jointly responsible for the day-to-day management of our cleaning & portering services. They will operate IT packages and web-based systems used by the Service Department to assist in workforce planning, managing service resource levels, and service delivery assurance.

They will provide daily operational support to the Facilities Lead for the delivery and coordination of portering services, cleaning, catering (ward-based), and deep cleaning. The Facilities Co-ordinator will line manage our Facilities Services Team Leaders to ensure that services, ad-hoc tasks, and projects are planned, managed, and delivered effectively within the financial budget.

The working hours for this role are 08:00 - 16:00, five days a week, including weekends and bank holidays. Support in covering for other Facilities Coordinators may be required depending on service needs. Enhancements for night-time, bank holiday, and weekend work are offered.

Candidate Requirements

* Previous experience managing or leading staff, preferably in an NHS setting or in cleaning/portering.
* Experience with computer systems, including Microsoft Office and web-based systems.
* Experience working with diverse staff and in workforce planning.
* Understanding of sickness absence management, customer care, complaint handling, performance management, and budget management.
