Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to be part of a dedicated team in a rewarding environment? The Pharmacy department at Sheffield Children’s Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacy Assistant to join our team and help us deliver a top-quality service to patients.
Requirements
* GPHC Approved L2 Pharmacy Qualification (or willingness to work towards)
* GCSEs in English and Maths, or equivalent
* Excellent customer service skills
* Team focused, and able to complete tasks independently
Previous hospital experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.
Responsibilities
* Support the receipt, processing, and provision of pharmaceutical supplies in the Stores department.
* Help with ward drug top-ups.
* Work on the Dispensary Reception, receiving prescriptions and providing excellent customer service.
* Handle busy enquiry lines
* Contribute to a safe and efficient pharmacy service for patients
Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge
* GCSE C or above in maths and English language or equivalent
* GPHC Approved L2 Pharmacy Qualification
* Experience of working in a pharmacy environment
* Computer literate
* Knowledge of stock control and need for confidentiality
* Careful and accurate worker
* Ability to work alone and as a member of team
* Understanding of the need for confidentiality
* Desirable: IT qualification
* Desirable: Stores work
* Desirable: Coaching and Mentoring
* Desirable: Knowledge of Data Protection Act
* Desirable: Knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act
