Purpose:
You will provide fire protection and detection engineering services, including technical support within the mechanical engineering team.
Responsibilities:
* Deliver fire protection and detection services that meet Worley, client, and regulatory standards on time and within budget.
* Participate in meetings, prepare progress reports, and follow checking procedures.
* Ensure project scope clarity and manage changes per project processes.
* Size, select, specify, evaluate bids, and review vendor documents.
* Resolve discrepancies between Worley and client requirements.
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients.
* Identify issues, develop solutions, and seek assistance when needed.
What you will bring
Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications:
* Extensive experience in designing and analyzing fire protection systems for substations and power plants.
* Experience in project cost estimation and proposal writing.
* Knowledge of fire protection equipment procurement, sizing, and evaluation.
* Experience with hydraulic calculations for fire water systems.
* Design experience for fire alarms, suppression, explosion protection, and hazardous areas.
* Ability to collaborate with engineering teams to ensure deliverable consistency and manage costs and schedules.
* Experience with fire and explosion risk assessments.
* Strong technical skills with a focus on quality and timeliness.
* Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.
* Proficiency in MS Office and relevant software.
Education - Qualifications:
Required:
* 4-5 year Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Fire Protection Engineering.
Preferred:
* Professional Engineer (PE) license in the United States.
