PRODUCTION MANAGER – MANUFACTURING
Location: Co. Antrim
Reports to: Factory Manager & Directors
We are recruiting a Production Manager to join Northern Ireland’s leading door and window manufacturer. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key leadership role, driving performance, quality, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, multi-site operation.
The Role
You will:
 * Lead and coordinate production teams across cutting, machining, welding, assembly, glazing, and dispatch.
 * Ensure safe, efficient and on-time delivery of production against daily and weekly targets.
 * Implement and monitor KPIs (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People) using visual management and dashboards.
 * Drive Lean manufacturing / continuous improvement projects with measurable results (waste reduction, productivity, OEE).
 * Enforce compliance with ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment) and ISO 45001 (health & safety).
 * Oversee training, coaching, and development of supervisors, team leaders and operatives.
 * Maintain strong links with maintenance, supply chain, and quality to ensure smooth workflow.
 * Support audits, customer visits and compliance with industry product standards (PAS 24, Secured by Design, glazing/fire standards where applicable).
The Person
We are seeking a proven Production Manager with direct experience in the window and door industry or closely related manufacturing.
You will bring:
 * Demonstrable experience leading teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment (windows, doors, joinery, glazing, or precision engineering).
 * Proven track record in Lean / Continuous Improvement implementation (5S, Kaizen, root cause, VSM).
 * Experience in developing and managing KPIs to improve performance.
 * Solid knowledge of ISO systems (9001 essential, desirable).
 * Strong understanding of health & safety compliance (risk assessments, safe systems of work, HSENI standards).
 * Ability to coach and develop supervisors and team leaders, building a high-performance culture.
 * ERP/MRP system knowledge and experience of production scheduling.
 * A hands-on, visible leadership style with the ability to motivate and hold teams accountable.
