We have opportunities for a Staff Nurse / Midwife working within Locala’s forward thinking, innovative Public Health Early Years team (health visiting). The roles will offer the opportunity to experience public health nursing practice.

Responsibilities:
We have opportunities for a Staff Nurse / Midwife working within Locala’s forward thinking, innovative Public Health Early Years team (health visiting). The roles will offer the opportunity to experience public health nursing practice.
You will work under the supervision of band 6 Health Visitors - Specialist Community public health nurse (SCPHN) within Calderdale to support the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme (HCP) thereby improving outcomes for children and families. Calderdale Public Health Early Years’ Service provides; Health Visiting, Oral Health and Breastfeeding Support to families of children aged 0-5 years across Calderdale.
You will contribute to the Public Health Agenda, meet Public Health targets and reduce health inequalities in partnership with partners and key agencies to meet local and national agendas. To promote the protection of children, adhering to the Local Safeguarding Children’s Partnership policies and procedures.
Training and development will be supported to enable you to act as a competent practitioner within the health visiting team, recognising own scope of practice.
