Behaviour Mentor – Harrow

A welcoming mainstream primary school in Harrow is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their pastoral team. The role involves supporting pupils to develop positive behaviour, social skills, and emotional resilience, helping them engage fully with learning and thrive in the school environment.

The Role
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:
• Work with individual pupils or small groups to promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning
• Implement behaviour strategies and support plans in line with school policy
• Support pupils to develop social, emotional, and resilience skills
• Liaise with teachers, pastoral staff, and parents to monitor progress and outcomes
• Assist in managing classroom behaviour and support reintegration following incidents
• Maintain detailed records of interventions and progress
• Contribute to a safe, calm, and inclusive school environment
About You
• Previous experience working with children in a school or pastoral setting, ideally in primary education
• Relevant qualifications in education, mentoring, or behaviour support (Level 2/3 or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of positive behaviour management strategies
• Patient, empathetic, and resilient with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, flexible, and committed to supporting pupils’ wellbeing and development
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply via Uniform Education)
