Warehouse Despatch Team Leader - Aylesbury Dairy

We are seeking a Warehouse Despatch Team Leader to join the UK’s largest and most technologically advanced Fresh Milk production facility. This facility produces 1 billion litres of milk per year.

How you will make an impact
Reporting into the Logistics Planning Manager – Warehousing, you will lead by example for a team of up to 20 colleagues responsible for all Warehouse tasks ensuring up to 150 trailers over 24 hours are loaded on time in full for despatch to customers. You will work with Production, Supply Chain, Process and Logistics teams to achieve site targets and drive continuous improvement in colleague and Warehouse performance. You will coach and develop the team, maintain resilience under pressure, and focus on improving colleague performance.
Responsibilities
* Take ownership of team and site safety, including daily safety walks and compliance with health and safety protocols.
* Drive high service levels by ensuring timely loading, accurate deliveries, and consistent product quality.
* Manage recruitment, training, and development to build a resilient team; conduct regular performance reviews.
* Monitor and achieve KPIs such as loading times, bay turnaround, and picking performance. Ensure accurate time and attendance records in SAP, manage absence, and maintain audit and financial compliance.
* Support Coldstore performance to enhance production OEE and contribute to wider site initiatives.
What you will need to succeed
You are a highly motivated individual with experience in a systems-based warehousing environment. You will have people leadership experience, managing teams of 10+ people. Experience in an automated or semi-automated warehouse and understanding of LEAN manufacturing principles is preferred.
You will need to be able to work on a 12-hour rotating shift pattern (days and nights), which involves working 14 days out of 35.
