Data Center Engineering Operations Engineer, ICN - DCEO, ICN - DCEO
Amazon Web Services Korea is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented individual to join our Data Center Engineering Operations Team. This team maintains the critical physical infrastructure supporting AWS, ensuring 100% availability of data center MEP systems while providing excellent customer service.
The Data Center Engineering Operations team manages electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within data centers and third-party colocation facilities. Responsibilities include risk management, preventive and corrective maintenance, vendor management, and metric reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Establish performance benchmarks, analyze operations, and prepare reports on critical facility maintenance.
2. Manage on-site technicians, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring compliance with procedures.
3. Oversee relationships with third-party colocation providers and facility staff.
4. Operate and manage critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS, cooling systems, and monitoring systems.
5. Plan and report on data center capacity.
6. Assist in designing and constructing new facilities and projects to improve efficiency.
7. Collaborate with IT and business leaders on projects, capacity, safety, and performance optimization.
8. Ensure delivery of quality service to meet customer demands.
9. Manage procurement, assets, and inventory related to DCEO.
Qualifications:
* At least four years of experience in data center or mission-critical systems engineering, commissioning, or support.
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
* Proficiency in English and fluent Korean.
* Deep understanding of electrical systems including transformers, switchgear, UPS, generators, and related systems.
* Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems such as chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and HVAC systems.
* Awareness of security and safety protocols.
* Experience in data center project management.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., P.E, PMP, LEED) are preferred.
