Job Description
The Performance Improvement Coordinator (PIC) is accountable for support to the quality, safety, regulatory, and performance improvement/lean activities within the Department of Nursing. The PIC is involved in activities at the unit, service, nursing department, and institutional level. The PIC executes initiatives and action plans as appropriate with guidance from the Director of Nursing and Manager for Nursing Quality and Safety. The PIC collects and analyzes data, develops PI reports and leads improvement initiatives relating to nursing and organizational goals, patient care delivery, patient safety, and regulatory compliance. The PIC oversees PI outcomes and ensures continual progress toward strategic goals and participates in the development of nursing standards, policy, philosophy, goals and objectives, which are congruent with those determined by institution. The PIC serves as a clinical consultant for documentation system. Coordinates the preparation of grants that are applicable to nursing department strategic goal achievement. The PIC contributes to goal achievement through personal action and the facilitation of others. He/she participates in community and professional organizations, demonstrating commitment to the promotion of nursing's visibility and future.
The Level IV PIC may assume an expanded departmental role as available and assigned by the Director.
PAY RANGE:
$85,280-$112,033.26
*The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Job Requirements
BS in Nursing REQUIRED.
Professional certification from approved accrediting agency preferred (or must be earned within 1 yr. of hire to role). Minimum 3-5 yrs. RN experience in an acute care setting. Minimum 2 yrs. experience in role specialty preferred.
AHA BLS Healthcare Provider AED, Infant/Child CPR.
