About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and inspiring Careers and Pathways Leader to join our school in Taunton, part of a forward‑thinking Multi Academy Trust. This role offers the opportunity to support young people in making informed decisions about their futures and to raise aspirations across the school community.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, implement, and evaluate a high‑quality careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) programme.
* Provide impartial careers advice and guidance to students across key stages.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, colleges, training providers and other external partners.
* Organise careers events, including fairs, workshops and employer encounters.
* Support students with progression pathways, including post‑16 and post‑18 options.
* Work closely with senior leaders, teaching staff and pastoral teams to embed careers education across the curriculum.
* Track and monitor student destinations and progression outcomes.
* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and best practice frameworks.
About You
* Has experience in careers education, guidance, or a related field.
* Has a strong understanding of post‑16 and post‑18 pathways (including apprenticeships, further education and higher education).
* Is highly organised, proactive and able to manage their own workload effectively.
* Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Is committed to promoting equality of opportunity and raising aspirations for all students.
* Ideally holds, or is willing to work towards, a relevant careers qualification (e.g. Level 6 in Careers Guidance).
