Specialist Nurse - Breast Care (Bank) – The Alexandra Hospital, Bank Shifts. Salary: Up to £24.44 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification).

We have an opportunity for a Specialist Nurse to join their team in the Cancer Services department. This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis; you will supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.
Duties
* Act as a clinical expert in cancer pathways, supporting diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and survivorship care.
* Undertake specialist assessments, contributing to holistic care planning, symptom management and ongoing review.
* Provide emotional, psychological and practical support to patients and carers throughout the cancer journey.
* Work closely with Consultants, MDT members, allied health professionals and support services to deliver coordinated care.
* Ensure practice is compliant with national guidance, professional standards and Circle Health Group policies.
* Keep up to date with advances in oncology practice, maintaining professional knowledge and skills.
Applicants should meet the following criteria
* Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
* Significant post-registration experience in Oncology and/or Haematology nursing.
* Evidence of specialist knowledge in cancer care pathways and symptom management.
* Strong understanding of clinical governance, patient safety and quality frameworks.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Commitment to patient-centred care and continuous professional development.
