Multi Skilled Engineer
Location: Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 (inclusive of shift allowance)
Shift: Monday–Friday, 3-shift rotation with 1-in-4 on-call
Are you a hands-on Maintenance Engineer who enjoys solving problems and keeping a busy site running? Our client operates a long-established manufacturing facility with a mix of older machinery and more recent upgrades, giving you genuine variety day to day.
You’ll work across a wide range of electrically driven equipment, including control panels, inverters, motors, sensors and PLC-controlled systems, alongside essential mechanical handling kit.

Multi Skilled Engineer Key Responsibilities:
Ensure electrical and mechanical safety across plant and equipment
Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) using a digital CMMS
Respond safely and efficiently to equipment breakdowns
Work closely with production teams to plan maintenance activities
Support continuous improvement and site efficiency initiative Skills & Experience Required for a Multi Skilled Engineer
Strong electrical bias with solid mechanical capability
Level 3 or HNC qualification (or equivalent experience)
Background in manufacturing, processing, FMCG, food or similar
Experience using planned maintenance systems
Able to commute within one hour of the site What’s On Offer
Salary of £50,000 – £60,000 inclusive of shift allowance

Monday–Friday shift rotation (06:00–14:00 / 08:00–16:00 / 13:00–21:00)
