As part of our continued growth, we are looking to expand our litigation supervision team in Runcorn. Your Role As a
Supervising Solicitor / CILEX Practitioner, you will: Take responsibility for the
conduct of litigation, ensuring all reserved legal activities are carried out by you or another authorised person. Work closely alongside a
Team Leader, who will focus on people management and day-to-day operational delivery, while you provide
legal supervision and technical oversight. Supervise and support a team of paralegals, providing guidance, feedback, and ensuring quality and compliance. Check, review, and sign off
pleadings, statements of case, statements of truth, applications, and other formal documents. Manage a personal
caseload of litigation matters, ensuring cases are progressed efficiently and in clients' best interests. Provide
training and mentoring
to paralegals and junior staff, developing skills and ensuring consistency across the team. Monitor and report on compliance with professional obligations, escalating risks as necessary. Collaborate with senior management to continuously improve processes, policies, and litigation delivery. About You We are looking for individuals who are both technically strong and collaborative leaders. You will have: Solicitor (England & Wales) with at least 4 years' PQE ,
or
CILEX Fellow with Litigation Practice Rights and at least
4 years' post-qualification experience. Demonstrable litigation experience,
ideally in financial services, debt purchase, debt recovery, or commercial disputes. Strong knowledge of the regulatory framework for the conduct of litigation. Proven ability to
supervise and develop junior legal staff, ideally in a high-volume environment. Excellent drafting, advocacy and communication skills. Commercial awareness and the ability to balance compliance with operational efficiency. A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with strong organisational skills.
