We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and dedicated KS1 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Dartford, starting ASAP. As a KS1 Teacher, you will plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons across the Key Stage 1 curriculum. You will support pupils’ academic progress while also nurturing their social, emotional, and personal development. Creating a structured, safe, and stimulating classroom environment will be central to your role.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
* Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress accurately
* Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including SEN and EAL
* Promote positive behaviour, independence, and high expectations
* Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
* Create a structured, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and KS1 colleagues
* Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding progress and wellbeing
* Contribute to staff meetings, planning sessions, and whole-school initiatives
* Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will:
* Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
* Have recent experience teaching in Key Stage 1
* Have a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum
* Be nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic
* Have excellent classroom management and organisational skills
* Be a team player with strong communication skills
* Be committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
