Job Title: Engineering Manager
Job Overview
* Responsible for the delivery of hard services activities at a portfolio of ECC buildings

* Drive the highest level of results on H&S and service delivery
* Ensure strategic / central initiatives are implemented to maximise the benefits for the region
* Driving the focus and performance of Operational Delivery from both Operational Teams and Contractors
* Ensure best practice guidelines are adhered to and continuously improved
* Liaison with Management and Operational teams to ensure compliance with contract SLAs.
* Identify opportunities both commercial & Operational.
Main Duties
* Provide operational support, information and reports as requested to the RFM
* Escalation of issues to provide early warning of defects
* Attend meetings where required
* Provide cover for other Supervisors as required

* Provide technical support to the team.
* Ensure statutory & mandatory compliance across the ECC estate - Statutory and mandatory remedial works are to be completed within the contract KPI's
* Utilise reports to maximise efficiency, performance and productivity within the team
* Manage PPM, and Reactive Works in line with contract KPI's.
* Audit 5% of PPM per month
* Be aware of all subcontractor activities to minimize impact to the client
* Undertake ‘Stop Work Audits' for subcontractor related works
* Review RAMS for subcontractor related works.
* Proactively manage H&S, ensuring a safe working environment, maintaining a safety-driven culture, and adhering to legislative and company policies, especially working at height and hot works)
* Ensure vehicle, tool, PPE, test equipment checks are completed and recorded
* Monitor hazards reported and encourage/train team members to identify and report hazards
* Ensure team completes monthly TBT's
* Ensure mandatory training is completed and up to date within the month
* Approval of material quotes up to £1k
* Prepare and submit operational, accident, incident reports
* Provide quotes for new work
* Keep Maximo updated with changes to assets or PPM under your responsibility
* Develop and maintain good relationships internally & externally
* Attend meetings/handovers for Capital / Lifecycle replacement work
* Participate in out-of-hours emergency escalation procedures
What We Are Looking For
* Served a recognized apprenticeship or training scheme (desired)
* Electrical / Mechanical / Building Services Qualification
* Excellent knowledge of building services systems (Controls/LTHW/CHW/HVAC/L8/UPS/Generators)
* Health & Safety qualification (IOSH / NEBOSH)
* Good understanding of Maximo CAFM system
* Previous supervisory experience in a technical environment
* Core Microsoft Office skills
* Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong influencing and communication skills, capable of working with senior management, operational teams, and clients
