The Role
As a Flood Risk/Drainage Design Engineer, you will work on a wide variety of interesting and challenging projects. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Prepare Flood Risk Assessments
2. Preparation of foul and surface water drainage strategies
3. Produce conceptual design of flood protection measures
4. Produce fee proposals
5. Liaise with associate staff, check drawings, and issue reports to clients
Your role may involve development and checking of Drainage Strategies, Flood Risk Assessments, design calculations, scheme details, and drawings. You will also be responsible for technical specifications, project information, and management of schemes of varying sizes.
You
The role is suited for an existing Flood Risk/Drainage Design Engineer looking for support and career development. Requirements include:
* Degree in Civil Engineering or related science
* Interest in progressing towards Chartership
* Experience in Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies
* Working knowledge of Flow and Microdrainage software packages
* Good understanding of AutoCAD or Civils 3D
