Offer description

Do you have a passion for exquisite food, creative cocktails, and stunning seaside views?

We're looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our team at Sun Dancer.

Perched right on the beachfront in Nairn, Sun Dancer boasts breathtaking views of the Moray Firth and Nairn Beach. Our menu features the freshest local seafood and delectable dishes that keep our guests coming back for more. Pair that with our inventive cocktails, and you've got a dining experience like no other.

We need someone who's excited about great food and drinks and loves working in a beautiful, vibrant setting. If you're enthusiastic about hospitality and ready to make waves in the restaurant scene, we'd love to hear from you.

Kitchen Porter – Join Our Busy Kitchen Team

We're looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to support our fast-paced kitchen. If you're organised, energetic, and enjoy working as part of a team, this could be the perfect role for you.

About the Role

As a Kitchen Porter, you'll play a vital part in keeping the kitchen running smoothly. You'll ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation are maintained at all times, helping our chefs deliver exceptional food and service.

Key Responsibilities

* Washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans
* Keeping kitchen areas clean and sanitised
* Assisting with basic food preparation when required
* Emptying bins and ensuring waste is disposed of correctly
* Receiving and storing deliveries properly
* Supporting chefs and front-of-house staff as needed

What We're Looking For

* Strong work ethic and positive attitude
* Ability to work well under pressure
* Good attention to detail
* Punctual and dependable
* Previous kitchen experience is an advantage but not essential

What is this Cru Holdings thing anyway?

Cru Holdings has been leading the charge in exceptional hospitality experiences since 2009. We continue to invest and innovate in our venues and our people – even during the recent pandemic – to ensure every customer has an unforgettable visit.

With six incredible venues across the Highlands, and over 100 staff throughout the region, we're looking for the right person to join our team. We need people with the personality, ambition, and commitment to allow us to continue to develop and grow our business.

We recently became an accreted Living Wage Employer, thanks to our commitment to fair pay and great working conditions. Positions with Cru Holdings don't come up very often, so what are you waiting for?

Work hard, play hard

We love to celebrate our team's efforts and achievements. We offer quarterly thank-you bonuses, events, and a swanky black tie staff awards do every year. It's important to us that each and every one of our hard-working team feels valued and respected.

We want to turn the world of hospitality on its head. Work-life balance, mental health support, learning and qualification opportunities, on-the-job mentoring… they're all a core part of what we do.

What's in it for you?

OK, let's talk cold, hard facts… our starting salary/wage for this role is £12.60 p/h.

You'll get overtime if you have to work any extra hours… but we try to avoid that happening wherever possible. We're all about that sweet, sweet work-life balance.

Twenty-eight days' holiday to do with as you please. The world's your oyster (Oh, and the longer you work with us, the more holidays you get.)

All that, plus…

· Food and drink discounts at all our venues

· Treats on your birthday

· Festive savings fund

· Interest-free holiday loans

· Free coffee… because if you're anything like us, you'll need it to function

What's in it for Cru?

Interested? We need all applicants to have…

· A minimum of two years' experience in a similar (or higher) role.

· The right to work in the UK.

· Great work ethic and the ability to excel as part of a team.

· A passion for going above and beyond for every customer.

· Team spirit by the bucketload.

· A winning smile.
