Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The Kitchen Porter plays a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring that all equipment is ready for use. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in the culinary field while contributing to a high-quality dining experience.
Responsibilities
* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
* Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation tasks as needed.
* Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned, sanitised, and stored properly after use.
* Help organise and restock kitchen supplies and ingredients.
* Dispose of waste appropriately and keep work areas tidy.
* Support the culinary team during busy service periods by providing assistance as required.
* Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential.
* A keen interest in food preparation and culinary practices.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
