History Teacher - Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire

Salary: MPS/UPS - Competitive, dependent on experience
We're looking for a capable and engaging History Teacher or Humanities teacher to join a busy and vibrant Academy in Welwyn Garden City from October 1st.

Tradewind Hertfordshire Secondary, is supporting a well-regarded MAT to source a History Teacher for one of their schools in Central Hertfordshire. This is a full time post for the duration of the 2025/26 academic year starting October 1st or following the half term. Suitable for both experienced teachers and ECTs it also offers the chance to progress onto a permanent contract from January 2026.
The Role:
1. Teach Key Stage 3 & 4 History.
2. Deliver well-structured and upbeat lessons to promote curiosity and inspire an interest in History
3. Planning, assessment and development within the Humanities department
4. Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners
5. Engage in all parts of the school life, including enrichment activities, trips and extra-curricular
What We're Looking For:
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification OR experience teacher KS 3 & 4 History in the UK
7. Specialism in History teachers able to offer 2nd Humanities also welcome to apply with scope for timetabling
8. Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and the ability to engage students of all abilities
9. Strong communication and classroom management skills
