Overview
Second shift Operators must train on 1st shift (5 AM – 3 PM) for a few months before transitioning to the permanent schedule of 2 PM – 12 AM, Monday through Thursday.
Production operators are responsible for the daily tasks associated with manufacturing needs. This role requires learning quickly and working independently with minimal supervision once fully trained.
Responsibilities
* Uphold and enforce safety policies and procedures following company guidelines.
* Load/ unload materials from hoppers, bins, dryers and other processing equipment.
* Assist the Production Supervisor and Plant Manager with monitoring production/ router schedules.
* Assure compliance with all QA & QC policies.
* Follow all EHS procedures & report equipment failures to supervision.
* Maintain cleanliness of machinery to minimize metal dust.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
* Mechanically inclined.
* Able to read, write, speak, and understand spoken English.
* Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, twisting, bending, lifting, grasping, reaching, foot controls, depth perception, and the ability to safely lift 50 lb.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Preference shown to applicants with supervisory experience.
* Familiarity with computers is a plus, particularly Datacor ERP software.
* Forklift experience.
* Bandsaw experience.
