A vacancy will arise for a Sergeant (Logs (Sup)) to serve as SNCO Logs (Sup) at RAFC Cranwell - RAF Air Cadets HQ on Full Time Reserve Service (Home Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS), with an initial proposed start date of being not before 07 September 2026 (or later, subject to candidate status). SNCO Logistics (Supply) is the RAF Air Cadets’ (RAFAC) Logistics (Supply) subject matter expert (SME), responsible for maintaining policy oversight, assurance and the compliant delivery of supply, procurement, uniform and material accounting across RAFAC. The role advises senior leaders in RAFAC, interfaces with Air Support (SCM & Commodities), RAF Units and contracted service providers, and ensures effective logistics support to units and national activities in line with MOD & RAF policy. Specifically they are responsible for: Acting as the RAF Air Cadets’ (RAFAC) Logistics (Supply) SME, providing authoritative advice and direction. Lead and coordinate the compliant delivery of logistics supply, procurement, uniform and material accounting across RAFAC, delivered through parent units and service support outlets. Provide specialist Logs (Sup) input to RAF transformation programmes and projects affecting RAFAC, including all logistics supply input into future contracted services. Advise senior RAFAC leadership, including the RAFAC Parenting Officer, on all Logistics (Supply) matters. Maintain, review and update RAFAC logistics doctrine, policy, instructions and forms, ensuring consistent understanding and application across RAFAC. Provide guidance on logistics elements of procurement requirements and ensure compliance with MOD commercial and supply chain policy, in coordination with the Business and Finance Manager. Act as the primary interface with Air Support, RAF Units and contracted service providers for logistics supply outputs, providing assessment and solutions where services are not meeting RAFAC requirements. Includes management of CFAV access to the RAFs Initial Supply and Fit Contract for No1 Uniform. Maintain oversight of RAFAC material accounting procedures, providing direction, guidance and assurance to enable RAFAC units to operate compliantly in line with MOD & RAF policy, including specialist areas as required. Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for permanent staff in regional logistics roles, providing coordination, advice and liaison. Provide logistics planning support and guidance to enable authorised national RAFAC activities. Drive quality assurance, continuous improvement and effective communications across the Logs (Sup) area, including the use of the BADER Logistics SharePoint site and associated digital interfaces. Brief the Combined Initial Course (CIC) and Unit Commanders Course (UCC) on logistics supply requirements, in rotation with the HQ Logs team. Undertake continuous professional development and additional duties as directed by line management.
